Troubleshooting

Some browser settings are known to impact the display of embedded PDF files in the Mind Map and Geo Map sections of the website. We know of the following problems and fixes:

• Firefox for desktop use: If PDF files such as book chapters and articles are not displayed on the website in the Mind Map and Geo Map sections, open your Firefox “Preferences”. Under the header “Applications”, make sure that the setting for “Portable Document Format (PDF)” is “Preview in Firefox”.

• Safari for mobile use (iPhone, iPad): If for embedded PDF files, only the first page is displayed (sometimes in distorted proportions), the easiest bypass is to change to Firefox for iOS. While navigating the site with Firefox, use the browser option “Open with” and choose iBook to access the embedded PDFs.
